Are you a badass woman veteran or do you know a badass woman vet?

Women Veterans Alliance wants to hear from you.

The organization has launched a badassery campaign to recognize female vets who are making a difference during the COVID-19 outbreak, said its founder Melissa Washington.

“There is so much negativity out there,’ she said. “I wanted to be able to highlight these women.”

Washington, a Navy veteran, founded the alliance in 2015 as a way to equip, empower, and challenge other female vets.

“We hope this inspires someone else,” she said of the campaign.

Women veterans can nominate themselves for the recognition or be nominated by someone else through a submission form. Submissions are being accepted through June 30, Washington.

A random submission will be selected to receive a badassery t-shirt. Select submission will also be shared on WVA/s blog and social media channels.
