Wondering how to spend your Fourth of July? What about on the deck of the USS Constitution?

You can win a chance to spend America’s birthday aboard America’s Ship of State sailing through Boston Harbor by entering the Independence Day Underway contest.

Also known as Old Ironsides, the USS Constitution is a wooden-hulled three-masted heavy frigate launched in 1797 and named by President George Washington after the United States Constitution. One of the six original frigates that was authorized to be built by the Naval Act of 1794 and the third one to be constructed, the USS Constitution is the world’s oldest commissioned naval vessel still afloat.

Only 150 entries will be accepted and you have until May 15 to enter the contest. Entries are limited to one per household.  Winners will also be allowed to bring one guest aboard with them. Winners will be picked on June 3 and notified by e-mail and will be responsible for providing their own transportation and lodging to Boston.

Call the USS Special Events Division at 617.593.2025 or email http://constitution.events@navy.mil with additional questions.
