Celebrating 71 years of Air Force service

September 18, 2018 - 11:09 am

Today marks 71 years that the U.S. Air Force has defended our nation in the skies. Here are four reasons why we love the USAF, "Aim High, Fly-Fight-Win."

The Air Force Academy has beautiful architecture. Cadet Chapel is one of the most recognizable buildings on the Air Force Academy campus and it can hold up to five religious services at once! It's also a very popular tourist destination and has over 500,000 visitors, annually.

Thunderbirds, nuff' said.

They track Santa. Every year, on December 24, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) uses fighter jets and advanced satellite systems to show little kids around the globe Santa's location. According to NORAD, their "Santa Tracker" website gets about nine million unique views from over 200 countries and territories around the world.

Air Force DFACs are awesome.  After surveying our entire team, it was unanimous. Aside from the *ahem* cushy barracks arrangements, Air Force food is definitely the best out of all the Armed services.
