Netflix announces new 'Office'-style Space Force comedy series

Netflix, perhaps the most popular streaming platform ever, just announced a new show is on the horizon...and it's about the *wait for it* Space Force. 

Yes, the brand new military branch as imagined by President Trump is getting the Hollywood treatment. As hinted in the trailer, the Netflix original will chronicle the men and women charged with the goal "'To defend satellites from attack' and 'perform other space-related tasks'...or something."

The See What's Next Twitter account, which drops hints at future productions, tweeted a teaser video. Check it out below:

The show, which features actor, Steve Carrell, was created by Greg Daniels and Carrell, the same team that brought you The Office.

While the plan to actually fund the Space Force is still unknown, Netflix seems to have a better idea than the DoD about what the Space Force might actually be doing. Will you be watching?
