Veteran employment figures improve nationwide

There is less and less difference these days when it comes to unemployment figures for military vets and civilians in the U. S.  That's one of the takeaways from the most recent U. S. Labor Department figures.  

To break the numbers down, CBS Eye on Veterans again turned to experts from the Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University: Nick Armstrong, Rosey Maurey and Zach Huitink.  Ms. Maurey analyzed which states are doing best and worst when it comes to providing jobs for men and women who have served in uniform, Dr. Armstrong told us about programs he thinks are helping reduce unemployment among vets, and Dr. Huitink discussed veterans' job opportunities in the federal government.
