Doing good for veterans while spending money takes the sting out of your back to school shopping.

AmazonSmile makes that happen.  And even better - Amazon donates the money, not you.

The best news: there are hundreds of veterans organizations that you can choose from as your designated charity.

Here's how it works:

Do all your Amazon shopping through  Once you sign into Amazon smile, your regular Amazon account links to it.  Use the nav bar on the left hand side to access "Your Amazon Smile."

Select your favorite veterans organization to recieve the donation, and Amazon will remember it until you change it (its easy to change).  We found hundreds of veterans organizations by searching the word "veteran," but you can just type in your favorite organization to see if they're part of the program.  The rewarding part: so many of the organizations are small, local organizations that really need your help.

The donation doesn't come from you, but from Amazon.  Tens of millions of products on AmazonSmile are eligible. You will see eligible products marked “Eligible for AmazonSmile donation” on their product detail pages. The AmazonSmile Foundation donates 0.5% of the purchase price from your eligible AmazonSmile purchases, minus any rebates and excluding shipping & handling, gift-wrapping fees, taxes, or service charges.

AmazonSmile is a year-round program.  It makes the donation every time you shop through the AmazonSmile.
