Foundation For Women Warriors

A newly acquired warehouse is helping Foundation For Women Warriors strengthen its impact in the San Diego, California, women veteran community.

The nonprofit organization’s new warehouse in North County allows it to collect and distribute diapers, baby wipes, formula, car seats, cribs, school supplies, and other essential household goods.

As the long-term effects of COVID-19 -- furloughs, school closures, and layoffs -- continue to unfold, many veterans are still struggling to make ends meet. Veteran mothers currently balancing careers and/or their own educational pursuits with homeschooling report the pandemic has been devastating to both their mental health and finances, said Jodie Grenier, CEO of FFWW.

Foundation For Women Warriors steps up to help female vets

“It is only through the support of our loyal friends, community foundations, partners, volunteers, and donors, that we have been able to quickly respond to the needs of our community and strategically pivot where necessary,” she said.

Happy 100th, Foundation For Women Warriors

The organization is looking for support from the community through the following:

  • Join its team of volunteers and help get them settled into the new warehouse.
  • Collect new and unused items locally. For a list of essential items and to schedule a drop-off appointment please email our Operations Manager, Mariana Sosa at
  • Make a donation
  • Purchase an essential item from its Amazon Wishlist.

Foundation For Women Warriors is the only organization in California solely dedicated to serving women veterans and their families.
