Shamrock Roofing and Construction

Connecting Vets' Employer of the Week Shamrock Roofing and Construction not only provides jobs to veterans, it also launched a campaign to provide a new replacement roof for a veteran or active first responder in the Kansas City, Missouri area.

“My father was a 23-year veteran who inspired me to help other veterans like him,” said company president Garen Armstrong.

Based in Lenexa, Kansas, Shamrock Roofing and Construction was founded over a decade ago with a mission to provide affordable, high-quality workmanship and service.

Its diverse team includes 10 veterans who strive to deliver the best product possible, added Armstrong. The company’s founders have been dedicated to the industry for their entire careers and take pride in providing  long-lasting and durable roofing solutions.

Armstrong launched the Roof 4 A Hero Campaign in 2017.

“This year, given the COVID-19 pandemic, we have opened this opportunity up to first responders, who now more than ever are putting their lives on the line every day to serve our communities,” he explained.

Entrants must be honorably or medically discharged or active military or first responders currently living in Johnson, Wyandotte, or Leavenworth counties in Kansas or Jackson, Platte or Clay counties in Missouri.  Entrants must own their own home with insurance and submit a DD-214.  Friends, family, caregivers or recipients of service may submit an entry on behalf of a veteran or first responder.  The entry must share why the nominee is in need of a new roof.
