College planning made easy with the GI Bill Comparison Tool

March 16, 2018 - 3:57 pm

Have you found your dream school but need to know whether your G.I. Bill benefits will cover it? The Department of Veterans Affairs's GI Bill Comparison Tool breaks down how much of your tuition is covered based on your benefits and it depends on the school(s) you are interested in applying to.

First, visit and fill out your information:

  • Military status (Veteran, Active Duty, National Guard/Reserve, Spouse, or Child).
  • Which GI Bill benefit you will be using.
  • How you want to take classes (online only, in person only or both).
  • Which school you’re interested in.

Once you’ve selected the college, you will see a page that will list an estimate of your benefits, veteran programs available at the campus, student outcomes such as retention rate for veterans and average salaries and any complaints made about the intuition.

It also will show the school’s accreditation and whether they give credit for military training.
