Segment 1: James Carl Nelson, author of the new book "The Polar Bear Expedition" fills us in on a little known episode of American military history. His book tells the true story of a US Army incursion into Russia in the waning days of WW1 that lasted beyond the end of the war.

Segment 2: AMVETS' new Chief Medical Executive, retired USAF nurse Cherissa Jackson and Chief Strategy Officer Sherman Gillums discuss the organization's focus on the issues women veterans face, their annual Storm The Hill event and more.

Segment 3: The DoD is making changes to the way military families move between duty stations. Retired Army Lt. Col. Beth Kubala of Syracuse University's Institute for Veterans and Military Families tells us what "privatization" means when it comes to the PCS process and what that will mean for the families.
